JOB SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports Tri-City's recruitment efforts by sourcing, screening, and managing candidate pipelines across operations, field, administration, and management roles. This position coordinates job postings, conducts initial resume reviews and phone screenings, manages interview scheduling, and maintains candidate communication throughout the hiring process. The TA Specialist works closely with the recruitment team to build pipelines aligned with project timelines, manage applicant tracking systems, assist with social media recruitment initiatives, and ensure a professional candidate experience.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conduct initial resume reviews and phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit before presenting to hiring managers.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers; manage calendar logistics, send confirmations, and track interview feedback.
- Post job openings across multiple job boards and career platforms; track posting performance and analyze which channels drive quality candidates.
- Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) and maintain candidate database with accurate, organized records of all applicants and their status in the hiring pipeline.
- Send DISC assessments and behavioral screenings to candidates.
- Provide responsive communication to candidates throughout the hiring process via email, phone, and company communications; answer questions and set clear expectations.
- Develop and maintain recruitment pipelines for anticipated openings by identifying and sourcing passive candidates ahead of formal requisitions.
- Assist with job description development, review, and updates in coordination with hiring managers and department leaders.
- Assist with social media recruitment initiatives, including posting job opportunities on LinkedIn, Facebook, and other platforms; engage with candidate inquiries through social channels.
- Support offer letter preparation, coordinate background checks and reference verification, and manage pre-hire onboarding logistics.
- Serve as primary candidate contact for all questions, scheduling needs, and pre-employment inquiries.
- Support the recruitment team with administrative work to free capacity for strategic pipeline building and leadership development.
- Coordinate company events, hiring sessions, career fairs, and recruitment marketing efforts as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of candidate information and ensure compliance with all employment laws and data protection standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 1+ years of recruitment, recruiting coordinator, human resources, or customer service experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or similar recruiting software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple candidate pipelines and hiring timelines simultaneously
- Customer service mindset and commitment to professional candidate experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bilingual
- Experience in construction, skilled trades, or manufacturing recruitment
- CIR, SHRM, or PHR certification or relevant coursework
- Experience with DISC assessments or similar behavioral screening tools
- Social media management experience (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
- Experience with job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn Jobs, ZipRecruiter, etc.)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- General Office Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
- Environmental Conditions:
The work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled setting with minimal exposure to loud noise, temperature variations, or other environmental factors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

TRAVEL REQUIRED
- Travel is primarily local, although minimal out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
- May be requested to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
