Talent Partner, Pilot Recruiter – Rotor-Wing Pilots

$75,000 - $85,000 DoE
We’re hiring a Talent Partner – Pilot Recruiter for our pilot recruitment team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced rotor-wing (helicopter) pilot to step off the flight line and into a mission-critical recruiting role—using firsthand pilot experience to build our pipeline, screen, and interview fellow rotor pilots. Drawing on your experience as a pilot and your proven ability to connect authentically with your target audience, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating a pipeline of top rotor pilot talent. Additionally, this person will play a key role in our HR commitment to excellence—shaping our culture, embodying HR key competencies, and ensuring a positive employee and candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- The Pilot Recruiter willproactively pipelines rotor (helicopter) pilot talent using a mix of tools and channels—LinkedIn, aviation job boards, pilot associations, industry networks, referrals, personal aviation connections—to build a steady flow of qualified candidates ahead of hiring needs.
- Screen and qualify pilot candidates against role requirements such as flight hours, ratings and certifications and other aviation-specific criteria, ensuring only well-matched talent moves forward to recruiters and hiring managers.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with active and passive pilots, leveraging peer-to-peer credibility to keep candidates warm and engaged so the talent pipeline stays strong even when there are no immediate openings.
- Partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and the broader talent team to understand current and upcoming pilot staffing needs, base locations, and the specific qualifications that make a candidate successful—translating real cockpit and base-operations insight into stronger hiring decisions.
- Track and manage candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS), keeping records accurate and up to date while reporting on sourcing metrics like pipeline health, response rates, and time-to-source.
- Deliver a positive, professional candidate experience at every touchpoint, reflecting GMR's core behaviors and HR commitment to excellence from the very first outreach.
- Stay current on aviation hiring trends, competitor activity, and the pilot labor market, and maintain an active presence on pipeline platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook and other key pilot groups.
- Attend and represent GMR at industry events, career fairs, aviation conferences, and pilot networking opportunities to grow brand awareness and expand the candidate community, including 10% travel.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma required, bachelor’s preferred
Experience
- Experience as a rotor-wing pilot, required
- Experience networking and sourcing for aviation, and specifically rotor-wing pilots, preferred
