About The Role

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), a leading defense technology company, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to be part of our Human Resources team and based out of our Arlington, VA location.

As Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will assist in all aspects of the recruiting life-cycle as well as provide administrative support for IDT’s Emerging Talent Program. This Program is a unique and immersive experience designed to attract, develop, and retain high performers who share our vision of developing innovative, industry-leading solutions for our customers in the DOD. The Emerging Talent Program allows participants to work on real-world projects, learn from industry experts, and build their professional network.

Clearance & Location Requirements

  • All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • This is an on-site position. Requiring at least 3 days in office, based out of our Arlington, VA location.

Key Responsibilities

What You Will Do

50% Talent Acquisition Operations

  • Coordinate Interview Logistics: Schedule and manage candidate interviews across multiple stakeholders, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
  • Support Recruiting Operations: Post job descriptions in the ATS and external platforms, track candidate progress, and maintain accurate recruiting data.
  • Maintain Documentation & Compliance: Collect, organize, and file candidate documentation, including reference checks and I-9 processing, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner Across Stakeholders: Collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR to support hiring needs across multiple offices and business areas.
  • Manage Recruiting Systems & Tools: Update and maintain Talent Acquisition materials, templates, and documentation within SharePoint and other systems.
  • Enhance Candidate Experience: Provide responsive, professional communication to candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Drive Operational Efficiency: Proactively identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance overall team effectiveness.

50% Emerging Talent Functions

  • Support the day-to-day execution of university recruiting, internship, and early career programs.
  • Attend career fairs and other campus recruiting events.
  • Develop summer internship programming calendar, including networking events, professional development workshops, and engagement activities.
  • Assist with emerging talent communications, marketing, and recruitment materials.
  • Support Emerging Talent Lead with other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Who You Are (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent full-time professional experience
  • 0–2 years of full-time professional experience in administrative support, recruiting coordination, or HR support
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service-oriented mindset
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to operate effectively in a fast-pacedenvironment

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Previous experience in campus recruiting, recruiting coordination, or HR support
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
  • Experience working with SharePoint or similar document management systems
  • Background or knowledge of the higher education landscape, including how universities, career centers, student organizations, and campus stakeholders operate.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple programs, projects, timelines, and priorities from planning through execution.

Pay Range*: $60,000 - $65,000

This amount may not be reflective of actual compensation that may be earned as pay is dependent on a candidate’s experience, skills, and education. The posted range does not include bonuses, commissions, tips, or other benefits. IDT is often looking to place multiple candidates at various levels. Therefore, more than one pay range has been included, commensurate with experience.
