What You Will Do

This position will play a key role in leading & managing Terra-Gen's recruiting function. The role will oversee the recruiting process from requisition through onboarding, partner closely with hiring managers and HR leadership, source and screen candidates, manage recruiting systems and workflows, and continuously improve the candidate and hiring-manager experience.

This position is approximately 75% Talent Acquisition and 25% broader Human Resources support. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced recruiting professional who enjoys both hands-on recruiting and building efficient, consistent recruiting processes within a growing renewable energy company.

Talent Acquisition – Approximately 75%

  • Manages the recruiting process from job requisition through offer and onboarding.
  • Prepares, posts, and maintains job advertisements on the careers site, job boards, LinkedIn, and other recruiting platforms.
  • Partners with hiring managers to understand job requirements, establish recruiting priorities, and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Sources and identifies candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, recruiting platforms, referrals, and other appropriate sources.
  • Reviews resumes and applications and conducts initial candidate screenings and interviews as appropriate.
  • Manages the interview process, including scheduling, candidate communications, feedback collection, and follow-up.
  • Communicates with candidates throughout the recruiting process and provides timely updates regarding interview status and next steps.
  • Prepares offer letters and other employment-related correspondence.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains standardized recruiting processes, workflows, templates, and procedures.
  • Evaluates current recruiting processes and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the candidate and hiring-manager experience.
  • Develops and maintains recruiting dashboards, reports, metrics, and other talent acquisition analytics to monitor recruiting activity, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Owns the day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of the Company's applicant tracking system, including requisition setup, candidate disposition, templates, workflows, reporting, and system processes.
  • Establishes recruiting service-level expectations and follows up with hiring managers to keep searches moving.
  • Identifies bottlenecks in the recruiting process and recommends and implements solutions.
  • Monitors open positions and provides recruiting status updates to hiring managers and HR leadership.
  • Assists with employment branding, career fairs, recruiting events, and other talent acquisition initiatives as needed.
  • Ensures recruiting activities and documentation are conducted in accordance with Company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Prepares, updates, and maintains job descriptions in coordination with HR and department leaders.
  • Maintains the Company's job description library and partners with HR and department leaders to ensure job descriptions remain current and consistently formatted.
  • Develops and maintains recruiting processes, templates, procedures, and standard operating practices to support a consistent and efficient hiring experience.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve recruiting processes, workflows, systems, and candidate experience and takes ownership of implementing improvements.

Human Resources Support – Approximately 25%

  • Supports HR projects and initiatives, including HR process improvements, employee communications, policy updates, organizational projects, and other special projects.
  • Supports onboarding.
  • Supports the preparation and distribution of HR communications, forms, letters, and other employee documentation.
  • Maintains accurate employee information and HR records within the HRIS and other HR systems.
  • Supports employee file administration and ensures required documentation is maintained appropriately.
  • Assists with HR reporting, audits, and data collection as needed.
  • Provides administrative support for HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Conducts research and gathers information for HR projects and management requests as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee, candidate, compensation, and other sensitive HR information.
  • Provides responsive and professional customer service to employees, candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Human Resources, recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related Human Resources position required.
  • Experience coordinating recruiting activities and working with applicant tracking systems and/or HRIS platforms required.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with HR, hiring managers, and employees.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience preparing job descriptions and employment-related documents.
  • Experience conducting initial candidate screening or interviews.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter or other sourcing platforms.
  • Experience with an applicant tracking system and HRIS.
  • Knowledge of basic employment laws and HR practices.
  • Experience supporting HR projects and process improvements.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification a plus.

Other

  • Some travel on occasion may be required to visit other work sites.

Some Driving May be Required: Ability to drive a vehicle on Company business and meet Company’s established Driving Criteria, including maintaining a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

The posted compensation is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This salary range may also be modified in the future, depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
