Job Requirements

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supplemental Staffing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating supplemental staffing needs to ensure optimal workforce coverage and support business operations effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of staffing processes.

Shift: Full Time Evening/Night shift (2pm-12am) with rotating weekends

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage supplemental staffing requirements across various departments.
  • Assists with coordinating the daily scheduling of supplemental staffing by ensuring adequate staff for all shifts through the development, preparation, and maintenance of staffing schedules that meet the needs of the hospital and apply to variable census conditions.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective staffing plans.
  • Assists with accurately maintain scheduling supplemental staffing computer program.
  • Assists with interpreting and communicating Human Resources policies and procedures for employees, supervisors, managers, department heads, and administrators on employment, compensation and benefits practices, employee relations and training. Source, screen, and onboard supplemental staff in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of staffing activities and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor workforce utilization and provide regular reports to management.
  • Address and resolve any staffing-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the staffing process.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Work Experience

Qualifications

  • Completion of High School or GED required. Some college preferred.
  • Two (2) years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in fundamental concepts, principles, practices, and procedures of employment law and generally accepted employment practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills are required to work effectively with various levels of employees and management staff.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Proven experience in staffing, recruitment, or human resources.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with staffing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

Working Conditions

  • Weekend, shift work, holiday, on-call, and overtime may be required.
  • Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment.
