Title: Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Overview (What is this role? What are we looking for?)

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies for assigned service lines, partnering closely with hiring managers and Human Resources to attract, assess, and hire qualified talent. This role manages the full recruitment process from sourcing and interviewing through offer and onboarding coordination.
This position is based in Philadelphia and follows a hybrid work schedule, with regular on-site presence required for interviews, recruiting events, career fairs, meetings, and other business needs.

What you’ll have (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) year of talent acquisition/recruitment experience.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting and social networking platforms, CRM systems, and other technology commonly used in talent acquisition.
  • Experience building relationships with hiring managers, candidates, community organizations, educational institutions, or other recruitment partners is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • This position is based in Philadelphia and requires the ability to work a hybrid schedule, with regular on-site presence as needed for interviews, recruiting events, career fairs, meetings, and other business needs.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

A typical day-to-day may include (Responsibilities)

  • Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) daily, including reviewing applications, conducting prescreens, and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned openings, coordinating communication and next steps throughout the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Source candidates through creative recruiting strategies, employee referrals, community partnerships, social networking, recruiting platforms, career fairs, and other outreach efforts.
  • Schedule and conduct candidate interviews, complete required interview documentation, and conduct reference checks in accordance with agency procedures.
  • Manage the job offer process, including extending offers, explaining pre-employment requirements, and coordinating completion of all required steps through successful hire.
  • Partner with Training, Onboarding, hiring managers, and Human Resources to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated new-hire experience.
  • Assist with Open Interview Days, career fairs, and other recruitment events, including scheduling, staffing, advertising, candidate coordination, and site arrangements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and other recruitment partners to support ongoing talent acquisition efforts.
  • Evaluate recruitment processes and results, develop recommendations for improvement, and promote Barber National Institute as an employer of choice by highlighting its mission, meaningful work, competitive wages, and excellent benefits.
  • Provide input into the Barber National Institute Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as requested.
  • Travel to satellite locations for applicant or interviewing-related responsibilities.
  • Perform duties in the most courteous and professional manner to provide the highest quality of customer service.
