The Opportunity
Transdev Canada is looking to add a Senior Recruiter, Executive & Strategic Talent to our national Talent & Culture team. This newly created position calls for a recruiter who knows how to hunt — someone who can take a complex mandate, understand the business need, map the market, identify where the right talent sits, engage people who may not be actively looking, and build enough interest for them to consider Transdev.
The role will recruit across functions, geographies and levels, including senior and executive leadership positions and specialized, business-critical roles, while proactively building pipelines for future talent needs.
Success in this role will come from curiosity, persistence, commercial instinct and a genuine ability to find and engage exceptional people. You enjoy the hunt and have the tenacity to keep looking when the obvious avenues don’t produce the right talent. Just as importantly, you know that great recruiting is about people: you build trust with candidates, strong partnerships with the business, and authentic relationships across your network.
Executive & Strategic Search

- Translate a business need into a search strategy: identify target organizations, adjacent industries, relevant talent pools and individual prospects.
- Conduct direct search and headhunting, with a strong emphasis on identifying and engaging passive candidates.
- Develop compelling approaches that generate interest from candidates who were not necessarily considering a move.
- Build credibility with senior and executive candidates, understand their motivations and assess what would make an opportunity sufficiently compelling for them to consider.
- Partner directly with senior leaders to calibrate profiles, challenge assumptions and continuously refine the search based on what the market is telling us.
- Own searches from mandate through successful hire, including assessment, references, offer strategy and negotiation.
Talent Mapping & Pipeline Development
- Build talent pipelines before a vacancy exists, particularly for roles and capabilities critical to Transdev Canada's future growth.
- Map talent across competitors and adjacent industries, identifying individuals with relevant experience and transferable capabilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective candidates over time, creating a network of talent that Transdev can activate as opportunities emerge.
- Continuously expand Transdev's reach into new talent pools, professional communities and networks across Canada and internationally where relevant.
- Maintain current market intelligence on key individuals, organizations, talent movement and emerging sources of talent.
