About the Role

As a skilled Senior Recruiting Manager, you'll own full-cycle recruiting across every function of our growing organization. You’ll partner directly with hiring managers to understand their needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and identify talent who will thrive in our manufacturing environment. This is a high visibility, high impact role reporting to the VP of People. You will own and shape our recruiting function, enhance our employer brand, and play a crucial role in scaling our team.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end recruiting for all company roles, from intake through offer and close.
  • Partner with and advise hiring managers to define role requirements, calibrate candidate profiles, and build effective interview processes.
  • Develop and evolve our sourcing strategy across channels, functions, and candidate segments.
  • Own and continuously evolve the candidate experience across the interview lifecycle.
  • Partner with VP of People and leadership on headcount forecasting and hiring strategy tied to business/growth objectives.
  • Oversee reference and background check processes and vendor relationships.
  • Own ATS (Lever) and other systems/vendors related to recruiting (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc).
  • Continuously improve recruiting processes, tools, and employer branding.
  • Drive Lightship’s participation in community job fairs and other recruiting events.
  • Define, track, and report on pipeline metrics and hiring funnel health.
  • Manage temporary contractors and external recruiting agencies as needed.
  • Act as a champion for company culture and values throughout the hiring process and internally.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of full-cycle and technical recruiting experience.
  • Proven track record hiring across multiple functions (hourly, engineering, sales, G&A, etc).
  • Ability to operate independently and drive searches with limited oversight.
  • Experience building and scaling recruiting processes.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of open roles simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting at an early-stage and/or high-growth startup.
  • Experience in EV, manufacturing, or hardware industries.

Lightship compensation consists of the yearly salary above plus equity, which gives you a stake in the company.
