As aSenior Consultant, Talent Attraction [Technology focused recruiter], you will play a key role in attracting and hiring top talent across Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with business leaders across the firm and support a wide range of recruitment needs.
What sets this role apart?
- You’ll be part of an award-winning collaborative team that values support, quality, partnership, and candidate experience
- From sourcing talent to presenting candidate profiles to negotiating offers, you’ll own the full-cycle recruitment process for individual contributors to key leadership positions
- The opportunity to build deep relationships with stakeholders and influence hiring outcomes
- While the primary focus is technology recruiting, you’ll also have plenty of exposure to a broad range of roles, levels and functional areas across the Firm and throughout Canadian provinces
As part of our award-winning Talent Attraction team, your responsibilities will include
- Recruit top talent for mid to senior level positions across Canada, with a primary (but not exclusive) focus on technology roles
- Leverage online recruiting tools and our in-house Applicant Tracking System (Taleo) to identify, engage, and recruit high-quality candidates
- Conduct candidate assessments to evaluate technical capabilities, experience, and assess against key firm attributes
- Develop creative sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive talent
- Provide market intelligence and recruitment insights to support informed hiring decisions
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers by providing guidance, market insight, and recruitment expertise
- Inspire candidates by enthusiastically promoting the firm’s employer brand
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and teams across the firm
- Deliver an exceptional candidate and client experience, recognizing that every interaction matters and that every touch leaves a trace

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Senior Consultant, Talent Attraction [technology focused recruiter]? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:
- 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in an agency and corporate environment
- You hold an undergraduate degree (preferred)
- You possess solid cold calling experience and you’re not shy at picking up the phone
- You have superior research, sourcing and writing skills, including an ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders
- Proven ability to leverage recruiting technology, talent analytics, and AI-enabled sourcing tools to improve recruitment outcomes
- You build such deep rapport with people that you can easily have the honest conversations that you know are needed to help achieve our organizational goals
- You can create compelling candidate profiles that speak to the business objectives as well as candidate strengths
- Your friends and family see you as a passionate person with a cool head, a warm heart, and a wonderful sense of humour
- You have great business acumen and can make links between what’s happening in the wider world and how we need to respond to help our clients, colleagues and communities thrive
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word and Excel

At Doane Grant Thornton, we believe compensation should reflect more than just market data—it should reflect you. We’re serious about compensation. We benchmark regularly across a wide spectrum of roles, industries, sectors, and levels to ensure our ranges are both competitive and current. But we don’t stop there. We also consider the unique strengths, experiences, and impact each individual brings to the table. Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors—your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $85,000–$105,000 in Toronto, ON. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
