At Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice of Suffolk (VNSHS), our Recruitment Coordinator helps attract talented professionals, coordinate the hiring process, and ensure employees remain current with required licenses, certifications, training, and compliance requirements.
Your Impact
The Recruitment Coordinator supports recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing employee compliance. This position works closely with candidates, employees, hiring managers, and the Human Resources team to ensure an organized hiring process and accurate, up-to-date employee records.
You Will
Recruitment & Hiring
- Post and maintain job openings on Indeed, recruitment platforms, social media, and other sources.
- Review applications and coordinate qualified candidates with hiring managers.
- Conduct initial candidate outreach and screening as assigned.
- Schedule interviews and maintain communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Coordinate offers, background checks, references, and required preemployment documentation.
- Assist with career fairs, recruitment events, and community outreach.
Employee Compliance
- Maintain and monitor employee licenses, certifications, registrations, required training, and other compliance requirements.
- Track expiration dates and follow up with employees and managers on upcoming renewals.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and conduct routine employee file audits.
- Monitor mandatory training and positionspecific healthcare requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits and address outstanding compliance items.
Onboarding & HR Support
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and required documentation.
- Assist with orientation and newhire training.
- Maintain accurate and confidential applicant and employee records.
- Support the HR team with recruitment, compliance, and administrative projects.
What You Bring
- Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience required.
- 13 years of experience in recruitment, human resources, staffing, credentialing, compliance, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and followup skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/applicant tracking systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Healthcare, home health, hospice, recruitment, or credentialing experience.
