Job Summary
The Recruiting Manager is responsible for leading recruitment efforts to attract, identify, and hire qualified talent across the organization. This position develops and executes effective recruiting strategies, partners with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, and ensures a positive and efficient candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
The Recruiting Manager will take a proactive and creative approach to sourcing talent, building community partnerships, strengthening the employer brand, and developing talent pipelines for both current and future staffing needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies to meet current and anticipated staffing needs.
- Partner with department leaders and hiring managers to identify staffing priorities and develop effective recruitment plans.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offers, and pre-employment processes.
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, community partnerships, schools, colleges, and other recruiting channels.
- Develop creative approaches to attract candidates for difficult-to-fill and high-volume positions.
- Build and maintain relationships with local schools, colleges, workforce organizations, community groups, and other recruiting partners.
- Coordinate and participate in job fairs, hiring events, open houses, and community recruiting activities.
- Maintain strong talent pipelines for critical and recurring positions.
- Support employer branding initiatives and promote the organization as an employer of choice.
- Monitor recruiting activity and key metrics, including vacancies, time-to-fill, applicant flow, hiring sources, and recruiting effectiveness.
- Ensure job postings and recruiting practices are accurate, consistent, and compliant with applicable employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and hiring manager effectiveness.
- Stay informed of local labor market conditions, competitor hiring activity, compensation trends, and emerging recruiting practices.
- Assist with onboarding, New Hire Orientation and other Human Resources initiatives as needed.
- Partner closely with Shared Services to leverage centralized recruiting support, align on recruitment strategies and priorities, coordinate sourcing efforts, and ensure effective communication regarding the Resort’s current and future staffing needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous recruiting, talent acquisition, or Human Resources experience required.
- Previous experience managing high-volume and/or difficult-to-fill recruitment preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to develop creative recruiting strategies rather than relying solely on traditional job postings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple positions and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable using applicant tracking systems, social media, job boards, and other recruiting technology.
- Ability to work collaboratively with leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and attention to detail.
