The D. E. Shaw group seeks a proactive, efficient, and technologically proficient individual to join the firm’s Recruiting team. This person will play an active role in the overall recruiting process in a dynamic, engaging, and collegial environment. Members of the Recruiting team work alongside Human Capital, business stakeholders, generative AI technology, and external partners to advance the firm’s ambitious recruiting goals.
What you’ll do day-to-day
- Drive the hiring process forward, while ensuring a seamless all-around recruiting experience, both internally and externally.
- Partner with Recruiters and work with AI to execute all aspects of our recruiting process, participating in ad hoc process improvement initiatives and projects.
What we’re looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in any field of study, along with keen attention to detail, sound judgment, and excellent project management and facilitation skills.
- Comfort with generative AI and other technology-enabled tools, and an interest in using them to support established workflows and improve efficiency, consistency, and deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience adhering to operational guidance, checklists, and controls in a fast-paced environment.
- A client-service mindset and an aptitude for supporting a seamless candidate and stakeholder experience.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with members of multiple business units, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to exercise the utmost discretion while handling confidential information and excel at working both independently and as part of a team.
- An approach to work defined by curiosity and motivation over any particular skill or experience, reflecting the firm’s culture and the ever-changing nature of our work.
- The expected annual base salary for this position is $85,000 to $100,000. Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a completion bonus, overtime for all hours worked over 40 per week, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
