Recruiter
About All In One Accounting
All In One Accounting is a 7-time winner of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in the Twin Cities and one of the Best Places to Work in the Minneapolis area. Our purpose is simple: to make the lives of entrepreneurial and nonprofit leaders better. We do that by supporting profitable growth, protecting assets, and amplifying impact, bringing financial clarity and strategic leadership to the clients who need it most. We run on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), which means clear goals, strong accountability, and a team that executes with intention.
About the Role
We are always hiring and continuously building for AIOA’s future growth. In a growing professional services business, recruiting is not limited to filling today’s open roles. It requires proactively creating connections, developing long-term talent pipelines, and maintaining strong candidate benches across Accountant, Controller, CFO, and internal leadership roles.
We are seeking a relationship-driven, highly organized Recruiter to own that work and the full candidate journey. This is a true full-cycle recruiting position for someone who approaches talent acquisition with the same intentionality as business development: staying active in the market, building relationships before an opening exists, and turning consistent outreach into sustainable pipelines. The Recruiter manages candidates from proactive sourcing and initial outreach through interviews, assessments, references, offer coordination, and signed acceptance, while keeping hiring managers informed and every search moving forward.
Now About You
We hire for hungry, humble, and smart. You bring energy and initiative to every search, build trust quickly with candidates and hiring leaders, and follow through without losing the human side of the experience. You are comfortable managing multiple roles and moving parts at once, but you do not let speed replace sound judgment, accuracy, or care. You enjoy networking, creating connections, and staying visible in the talent market. You understand that today’s conversation may become a future hire.
Responsibilities & Expectations
Full Cycle Recruiting
- Own assigned searches from kickoff through signed offer letter, creating clarity on role requirements, interview stages, decision-makers, compensation, and timing.
- Build and maintain qualified candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, LinkedIn activity, recruiting campaigns, referrals, job boards, professional networks, and direct outreach.
- Review applications and resumes, conduct introductory calls and structured video interviews, and determine appropriate next steps.
- Coordinate the complete selection process, including hiring manager interviews, skills and work-style assessments, technical testing, Core Value interviews, and professional reference checks.
- Prepare complete, decision-ready candidate information and facilitate timely hiring-manager feedback and decisions.
- Partner with the VP, Talent and hiring managers to finalize offer details, prepare and send offer letters, answer candidate questions, and follow through until the offer is signed.
- Maintain timely, respectful candidate communication, including expectations, status updates, and professional closure.
Pipeline Development & Recruiting Operations
- Treat talent acquisition as an ongoing relationship-building and pipeline-development function, not a requisition-only activity.
- Develop ready-now and future candidate benches for recurring Accountant, Controller, CFO, and other professional or leadership roles.
- Maintain a visible, consistent presence in the market through LinkedIn posting, networking, direct outreach, and long-term candidate follow-up.
- Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data in Paylocity and related recruiting systems.
- Monitor pipeline health, source effectiveness, candidate conversion, and time-to-hire; adjust strategy when activity is not producing the needed results.
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers, translate role needs into sourcing strategies, and surface market realities, risks, or barriers early.
- Keep job descriptions, postings, interview materials, and candidate communications current as roles and processes evolve.
What Success Looks Like
- AIOA is building ahead of demand rather than starting from zero when a hiring need opens.
- Sustainable pipelines and candidate benches exist across Accountant, Controller, CFO, and internal leadership roles.
- The Recruiter develops relationships with passive candidates long before an immediate opening exists.
- Hiring managers receive qualified candidates and decision-ready information in a timely manner.
- Candidates experience clear communication, organized next steps, and a genuine understanding of AIOA.
- Recruiting data is accurate, current, and useful for capacity and hiring decisions.
- Risks, delays, and expectation gaps are surfaced early, with practical options to keep searches moving.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including proactive sourcing, interviewing, selection coordination, reference checking, and offer management.
- Experience recruiting accounting and finance professionals is strongly preferred, including demonstrated success attracting senior-level and executive talent such as Controllers, Directors, Vice Presidents, CFOs, or comparable leaders.
- Demonstrated success building passive candidate pipelines and talent communities through LinkedIn presence, professional networking, referrals, direct outreach, recruiting campaigns, and other market-facing channels.
- Ability to build credibility with experienced professionals, executive candidates, and senior hiring leaders.
- Success managing multiple concurrent searches without sacrificing follow-through or candidate experience.
- Experience using an applicant tracking system and maintaining accurate recruiting data; Paylocity experience is a plus.
- Ability to conduct structured interviews, synthesize candidate information, and communicate clear, objective findings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information.
- Comfort working in a growing organization where priorities evolve and accountability, collaboration, and proactive problem solving matter.
