Position Summary
The Recruiter / Human Resources Assistant reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for supporting all recruiting, onboarding, and general HR functions. This position plays a key role in attracting qualified candidates, maintaining employee records, coordinating hiring activities, and ensuring HR processes are completed accurately and efficiently. The Recruiter / HR Assistant is responsible for maintaining confidentiality, providing administrative support, and ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
Recruiter / HR Assistant Job Duties Include
- Source, recruit, and screen candidates through job boards, referrals, social media, and other recruiting channels such as job fairs and schools.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and hiring managers.
- Conduct reference checks, employment verification's, and assist with background screening processes.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruiting databases.
- Prepare offer letters, on-boarding packets, and new hire documentation.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee on-boarding and orientation.
- Maintain accurate employee personnel records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist with employee relations matters by providing administrative support and directing concerns to appropriate leadership.
- Track employee licenses, certifications, training, and compliance requirements as applicable.
- Provide administrative support to office staff and leadership as needed.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling employee and applicant information.

Qualifications Include
- Previous experience in recruiting, human resources, staffing, or administrative support preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software preferred.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation.
