Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Recruiter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, screening, and selecting qualified talent to meet the staffing needs of the organization.
This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong understanding of recruitment and HR sourcing techniques, and the ability to build effective relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
The Recruiter will manage recruitment activities through the company's Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring candidate information, recruitment stages, interview notes, and hiring documentation are accurate and up to date.
The Recruiter will play an important role in continuously improving recruitment processes while providing a professional and positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, resume screening, interviews, reference checks, job offers, and coordination of onboarding activities.
- Utilize and maintain the company's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage job requisitions, applications, candidate profiles, interview stages, hiring decisions, and recruitment documentation.
- Ensure candidate information and recruitment activities are accurately and consistently recorded in the ATS.
- Monitor candidates throughout each stage of the recruitment pipeline and follow up on outstanding recruitment activities.
- Maintain an organized and current candidate database/talent pool within the ATS for current and future staffing requirements.
- Use ATS data and recruitment records to assist with tracking vacancies, candidate status, time-to-fill, hiring activity, and other recruitment metrics.
- Ensure recruitment documentation and candidate records are maintained in accordance with company procedures and applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, internal databases, and other sourcing channels.
- Utilize effective HR sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for open positions.
- Review and screen resumes and applications to determine candidates' suitability based on job requirements, qualifications, experience, and organizational needs.
- Conduct telephone, virtual, and/or in-person interviews and document relevant interview information appropriately.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers and ensure timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and department leaders to understand staffing requirements, job qualifications, and operational needs.
- Develop effective recruitment and sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill or specialized positions.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Conduct and document employment reference checks and other pre-employment requirements as applicable.
- Prepare, communicate, and negotiate employment offers in consultation with management.
- Facilitate and coordinate the onboarding process for successful candidates.
- Maintain communication with successful candidates regarding start dates, documentation, orientation, training, and deployment requirements.
- Provide support and guidance regarding employee relations matters when required.
- Participate in recruitment planning and workforce discussions with management.
- Learn the business hands-on, including gaining an understanding of operational requirements, work environments, job responsibilities, and staffing challenges.
- Engage in lead-generation and talent-pipeline activities to continuously expand the organization's pool of qualified candidates.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling candidate and employee information.
- Perform other recruitment and HR-related duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources is preferred.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or recruitment management software is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR sourcing techniques, recruitment practices, and candidate screening methods.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple job vacancies and candidates at different stages of the recruitment process.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn and effectively use ATS platforms, job boards, and other recruitment technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to professionally engage candidates, employees, and managers at all levels.
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when maintaining candidate records and recruitment documentation.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for both the organization and candidates.
- Proactive approach to candidate sourcing, research, networking, and lead generation.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with hiring managers and operational teams.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Candidates with previous recruiting experience in the remote camp, hospitality, construction, oil and gas, or related industries will be given priority.
