GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Recruiter Coordinator II serves as the primary operational contact for driver candidates throughout the onboarding process. This position is responsible for coordinating candidate movement through the hiring pipeline, maintaining ongoing communication with applicants, ensuring completion of application & onboarding requirements, and delivering a positive candidate experience. Works closely with recruiters, regulatory, driver training and operations personnel to ensure applicants are prepared for orientation and employment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for driver applicants throughout the onboarding process and conduct outbound candidate follow-up through phone, email, and text communication. Schedule candidate appointments, assessments, evaluations, and orientation dates.
  2. Maintain strong Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) discipline: accurate stage movement, activity documentation, dispositioning, and notes that support reporting and compliance.
  3. Monitor completion of onboarding tasks and hiring requirements, resolve documentation deficiencies, and communicate outstanding requirements. Maintain accurate readiness status for upcoming orientation classes and collect required driver qualification and onboarding documentation
  4. Verify documentation completeness and identify missing information. Schedule, coordinate and track DOT physicals, drug screenings, travel, and other pre-employment requirements. Monitor applicable recruiting and onboarding systems for candidate progress and escalate compliance concerns, exceptions, or documentation issues as appropriate
  5. Support recruiters with preliminary applications, candidate follow-up, and pipeline management activities and assist Recruiting Coordinator team members with processing, document collection and application review when needed. Provide support and cross coverage during high-volume hiring periods and staffing surges.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve applicant issues and maintain accurate candidate records within recruiting and onboarding systems. Document candidate interactions and status updates timely and accurately and adhere to company policies, recruiting procedures, and Job Code: 00309 regulatory requirements.
  7. Comply with DOT, FMCSA, federal, state, and internal company regulations, as well as all safety, securement, and account-specific requirements, to minimize no-shows, prevent compliance violations, and protect customer accounts from service disruptions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Prefer Highschool or GED PLUS additional education in a specialized field (vocational trade school, two year college, etc.), plus 1 - 2 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level, plus a minimum of distractions.
