In Human Resources at Main Campus Lee Building

Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Occasional travel required.

Summary

Responsible for interviewing, testing, and referring applicants for clerical, technical, clinical, administrative, and management positions for various departments throughout Children's of Alabama.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts recruitment effort for various departments. Interview and screen job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding candidates to hiring manager.
  • Assists in designing and delivering a process for efficient and effective recruitment and selection.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with employment agencies, universities, and other recruitment sources to assist with recruiting applicants.
  • Identifies alternative recruitment methods such as online recruitment methods, professional organizations, technical programs and universities to target technically skilled individuals requiring highly specific industry certifications.
  • Represents Children’s of Alabama at job fairs and other functions.
  • Communicates effectively and is well versed in benefits, recruitment process, policies and procedures, and other various aspects of Human Resources.
  • Recommends, develops and maintains HRIS databases and filing systems.
  • Prepares reports and analyzes data, setting measurable goals, identifying adverse trends, and providing appropriate recommendations to improve issues pertaining to recruitment.
  • Provide various reports regarding number of positions filled, time to fill, etc.
  • Conduct background checks and reference checks on applicants.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal state, and local laws related to employment.
  • Performs all other related duties as requested and/or assigned.

Other information

Good written and oral communications skills a must.
Strong knowledge of word and excel required.
Strong customer service skills.

Education with Equivalent Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelors of Science or Arts in Human Resources Management or related field

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications

Essential

  • 2 Years job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of HR Employment
