The Physician Recruiter will own initiatives that effectively source, screen, coordinate interviews and hire qualified practitioners, physicians and advanced practice clinicians, to practice medicine for the Bassett Healthcare Network. As a physician recruiter, you will complete all phases of recruitment process. You will be the central point contact, throughout the recruitment process, between candidates and our network of supportive caregivers and exceptional practitioners. You will be instrumental in propelling Bassett forward as a leading rural healthcare network. This role supports and contributes to Bassett’s overall practitioner staffing model to provide safe and quality care for our patients.
This role reports to the Director, Provider Recruitment and will partner directly with the Medical Staff Recruitment team, the marketing department, practitioner leadership, network leaders, practitioner management teams, practitioners, legal counsel, community members and other outside contractors. This is requires a regular on-site presence, but remote work possible as job responsibilities permit.
Key components of this position
- Presents in a professional manner while representing Bassett Healthcare Network and serves as the candidate’s primary point of contact during the recruitment process.
- Identify creative recruitment strategies, collaborating with leadership staff and department management and the Medical Staff Recruitment team members, to understand the needs of various departments, and enhancing processes to ensure the strong candidate experiences.
- Responsible for the sourcing needs and apply creativity and innovation to uncover qualified practitioners to join Bassett. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, generating job descriptions, ad placement on job boards and medical publications, email blasts, mailing campaigns, cold calls and social media outreach.
- Reviews curriculum vitae, conducts applicant screenings and preliminary interviews, secure candidate interviews for the departments and act as the liaison between the candidate and the hiring team to determine qualified candidates next steps.
- Leads the oversight on all phone, zoom and on-site interviews.
- Analyzes recruitment efforts regularly to ensure industry best practice utilization, efficient practices to hiring and retention strong time-to-hire outcomes and a robust candidate pipeline, to reach current and future department and organization hiring goals.
- Works with the Medical Staff Recruitment immigration team to ensure accurate and timely communication with foreign national candidates seeking visa support. Follows outlined Bassett immigration guidelines and provides needed paperwork to assist with the visa process to secure appropriate documentation.
- Collaborate with Marketing to assess, evaluate, create and execute strategies to attract qualified practitioners
- Participates in local, regional and national virtual and in-person career fairs and conferences. Coordinates lunch and learns, residency dinners, journal clubs and participate in practitioner special events.
- Navigates and maintains an updated Applicant Tracking System, CRM functionality and other systems to ensure current and real time candidate data tracking and recruitment metrics.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable rules, regulations and industry standards.
- Must be proficient with PC systems and have a high level of understanding and utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and database management

Education
- 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, Management, Teaching or other related field required
- Experience may be considered in lieu of education
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional level experience in human resources, customer service, sales, marketing, program development or regulatory programs required preferably in healthcare (experience in lieu education may be considered).
- 1 year of physician recruitment or healthcare experience preferred.
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Self-starter with proven problem solving abilities and solid follow-up communication.
- Must have experience working with customers, clients, students or patients in a setting with a high degree of public interaction.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and around highly confidential information.

Physical Requirements
