The Personnel Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting workforce hiring, onboarding, and staffing operations for multiple construction and industrial project sites. This position is responsible for candidate screening, recruitment coordination, onboarding administration, compliance tracking, and employee placement while ensuring projects are staffed with qualified skilled craft professionals. By partnering with recruiting teams, field leadership, and jobsite personnel, this role directly supports project execution, workforce readiness, and operational success.

DAY IN THE LIFE

As a Personnel Coordinator, your day begins by reviewing staffing requests, candidate applications, onboarding progress, and project hiring needs across multiple construction jobsites. You will screen applicants to verify licenses, certifications, qualifications, and compliance requirements while coordinating background checks, drug screenings, safety training, and site-specific badging requirements. Throughout the day, you will communicate with applicants, recruiters, field supervision, and project teams to provide staffing updates, coordinate start dates, and ensure qualified craft professionals are ready for assignment. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. Your work directly contributes to maintaining workforce readiness, supporting project schedules, and helping WYATT safely and efficiently meet client and operational staffing goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.
  • Ability to comply with company policies, project hiring requirements, and client requirements.
  • Demonstrated strengths in accountability, teamwork, safety awareness, adaptability, and quality-focused work practices.
