Title: Per Diem Recruiter

Position Summary

The Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for hourly, salaried, technical, and leadership positions across Magnum Systems. This role partners closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, attract qualified talent, and provide an efficient, professional candidate experience. The Recruiter supports workforce planning, employment compliance, and the development of reliable talent pipelines for manufacturing, engineering, service, sales, warehouse, and administrative positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing, fabrication, machining, engineering, field service, warehouse, sales, administrative, and leadership positions.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define staffing needs, candidate profiles, recruiting strategies, and hiring timelines.
  • Create accurate and engaging job postings for the company website, job boards, and other recruiting channels.
  • Source candidates through job boards, employee referrals, professional networks, community partnerships, career fairs, trade schools, and technical colleges.
  • Review applications and resumes to identify candidates whose experience and qualifications align with position requirements.
  • Conduct initial phone or virtual interviews and document candidate screening results.
  • Coordinate interviews with candidates, hiring managers, and interview teams across company locations.
  • Maintain timely, professional communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Coordinate reference checks and required pre-employment screening activities in accordance with company procedures.
  • Prepare and extend employment offers in partnership with HR leadership and hiring managers.
  • Maintain complete and accurate applicant records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HRIS.
  • Track recruiting activity and metrics, including time-to-fill, applicant flow, sourcing effectiveness, and hiring outcomes.
  • Follow federal, state, and local employment requirements, Equal Employment Opportunity practices, and company policies throughout the recruiting process.
  • Represent Magnum Systems at job fairs, school events, community events, and other recruiting activities.
  • Support employer-branding initiatives and assist with new-hire onboarding activities.
  • Participate in workforce planning and recommend improvements to recruiting processes and candidate experience.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant recruiting experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Three or more years of recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience recruiting for manufacturing, industrial, engineering, technical, or skilled-trade positions preferred.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, job boards, and recruitment marketing tools preferred.

  • Working knowledge of recruiting practices and applicable employment requirements.
  • Ability to evaluate candidates against documented technical, experience, and behavioral requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and interviewing skills.
  • Strong organization, follow-through, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple open positions and changing priorities simultaneously.
  • Professional judgment and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and related recruiting technology.
  • Ability to establish productive working relationships with applicants, employees, managers, educational institutions, and community partners.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally walk through manufacturing, warehouse, and operational work areas.
  • Ability to travel periodically for recruiting events, career fairs, training, and visits to company facilities.

Work Environment

  • Professional office environment with regular interaction in manufacturing and operational settings.
  • Frequent interaction with applicants, employees, managers, educational institutions, and external recruiting partners.
  • Occasional local or regional travel may be required.
