JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The People & Culture Recruiter, Campus will be responsible for recruiting qualified candidates to fill entry-level and intern positions in a specified market. This role coordinates recruiting activities, develops and maintains relationships with campus placement offices and faculty, takes responsibility for the firm's brand and image on the college campus as well as provides recruiting teams with guidance on recruitment processes and will be the point person for students.

Job Duties

  • Recruits on college campuses to fill entry-level and intern positions, including but not limited to interviewing candidates
  • Acts as primary recruiting point of contact for key client groups regarding specific candidates
  • Acts as primary contact for candidates throughout the recruiting life cycle while enhancing a candidate’s opinion of the firm by providing an inclusive portrait of our culture, services and benefits
  • Develops and maintains relationships with faculty, career office employees, students and the campus recruiting teams
  • Selects and trains internal client service volunteers to represent the firm on campus
  • Develops relationships with client service professionals and provides subject matter expertise on recruiting practices
  • Implements sourcing strategies to identify talented candidates
  • Develops and manages a market-based campus recruitment plan in collaboration with the People & Culture Recruiting Senior Manager, Campus
  • Continually evaluates the success and effectiveness of campus recruiting programs and leads change, as appropriate
  • Utilizes firm standard tools to capture all recruiting and hiring activity to comply with BDO’s Affirmative Action Plan

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree, required; with a focus in Human Resources, preferred

Experience

  • Two (2) or more years of recruiting experience, required
  • College recruiting experience, preferred
  • Experience working within a middle market and/or large public accounting firm, or agency, preferred
  • Experience working as a member of a human resources practice, preferred
  • Experience working within a professional’s services environment, preferred

License/Certifications

  • N/A

Software

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems, preferred (i.e., Oracle), preferred

Language

  • N/A

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Superior verbal and written communications skills, specifically related to need for excellent telephone etiquette
  • Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with a focus on delivering projected results (high volume / high quality candidates)
  • Commitment to and an understanding of the sense of urgency associated with the talent acquisition process
  • Solid analytical and diagnostic skills necessary to proactively resolve unexpected inquiries and issues while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a team environment
  • Comfortable initiating and/or responding to medium to high volume of calls daily
  • Capacity to effectively manage and prioritize projects and tasks with a superior attention to detail while effectively adapting to changing priorities with flexibility and creativity
  • Capable of interacting with all levels of external and internal professionals while developing strong productive relationships
  • Solid organizational and time management skills specifically relating to completion of appropriate follow through and status updates of effected parties
  • Ability to travel to various college campuses for recruiting events

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

California Range: $75,000 - $90,000
Colorado Range: $75,000 - $90,000
Maryland Range: $75,000 - $90,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $75,000 - $90,000
Washington Range: $75,000 - $90,000
