Sweet James Accident Attorneys is a rapidly growing, AI-powered personal injury firm based in Orange County, CA. In less than a decade, we've built a nationally recognized brand and a proprietary AI and automation stack that make us one of the largest and most efficient providers of legal services in the country. Our growth runs on a culture of excellence, compassion, and results: Our team is committed to exceptional client experience and to supporting one another in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We invest in our people, encourage professional growth, and provide meaningful opportunities to build rewarding careers while making a real impact in our clients' lives.

What you'll do

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting across all departments and levels, including legal, prelitigation, litigation, case management, client intake, administrative, operations, and corporate support roles—from sourcing and screening through interviewing, offer negotiation, and close.
  • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, professional networks, referrals, industry-specific job boards, and your own talent pipelines rather than relying solely on inbound applicants.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, define role requirements, prioritize openings, and develop effective recruiting strategies for each position.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs, including hard-to-fill positions and high-volume roles.
  • Run efficient, structured interview processes that keep candidates engaged and moving through the hiring process while delivering a positive candidate experience that reflects the firm's brand.
  • Evaluate candidates for relevant experience, skills, communication, professionalism, role alignment, and cultural contribution. For legal positions, assess relevant legal experience and licensing requirements as appropriate.
  • Manage recruiting systems and metrics, maintaining accurate applicant tracking system (ATS) records and reporting on pipeline health, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and hiring progress.
  • Advise hiring managers on talent availability, compensation benchmarks, candidate expectations, and realistic hiring timelines across different functions.
  • Coordinate offers and hiring logistics, partnering with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to support a smooth process from candidate selection through onboarding handoff.
  • Ensure compliant recruiting practices by following applicable federal, California, and local employment laws, including pay-transparency, salary-history, fair-hiring, and equal employment opportunity requirements.
  • Continuously improve recruiting processes by leveraging technology, automation, sourcing analytics, and market insights to improve hiring efficiency and quality.

What you bring

  • 5–7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally supporting multiple departments, job functions, and levels of seniority.
  • Demonstrated success filling a diverse range of positions, preferably in a law firm, professional services organization, staffing agency, or fast-growing, high-volume business.
  • Experience recruiting for a mix of professional, administrative, operational, and high-volume positions, with the ability to adapt sourcing and assessment strategies to different roles.
  • Strong sourcing skills and the ability to engage passive candidates, build relationships, and maintain an active pipeline of qualified talent.
  • Proficiency with an ATS and modern sourcing tools, such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and ZipRecruiter.
  • A data-driven, technology-forward approach to recruiting, with the ability to track performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, organization, judgment, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and firm leadership.
  • A strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize competing requisitions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • The ability to manage confidential information professionally and deliver a consistent, high-quality candidate experience.

Preferred

  • Experience recruiting within a personal injury law firm, legal services organization, or other professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with recruiting for legal, case management, client intake, litigation support, and law firm operations roles.
  • Knowledge of California employment regulations and compensation practices.
  • Experience with recruiting automation, candidate relationship management (CRM) systems, sourcing analytics, or other talent acquisition technologies.
  • Experience supporting organizational growth, scaling teams, and developing repeatable recruiting processes.
