The Opportunity
The Innovation Boost Zone is looking for a Lab2Market Learning and Recruitment Specialist to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible for performing environmental scans, researching developments and best practices in the field of engineering innovation, entrepreneurship, as well as commercialization of research ideas. You will also develop new programming & program content and deliver professional learning sessions and workshops to students and members.
Responsibilities will also include
- Providing specialized advice and detailed program related information to prospective students, program applicants and the public.
- Actively promoting the program(s) and services offered by the faculty and liaises with various staff and departments on admissions related matters and program promotional activities.
- Reviewing, analyzing and recommending enhancements to program policies, processes and promotional initiatives.
- Providing analytical, administrative and logistical support for activities and events in the recruitment and promotion of the program.
Qualifications
To help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications:
- Completion of a post graduate master’s degree program in entrepreneurship and or innovation, technology management or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in engineering business start-up, in a liaison, student advising, student recruitment or admissions type role.
- Experience with public speaking, event planning and program development in a lead role.
- Relevant administrative experience within a post-secondary environment is required with exposure to admissions policies and practices.
- Experience in professionally monitoring and updating social media accounts and websites.
- Strong administrative, time management and organizational skills.
- Availability to be on campus two days per week (can change depending on operational requirements).
