JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE

Under the direction of the Director – Human Resources, the Recruiter is responsible for focusing on supporting the talent acquisition strategy, process, and developing a full-cycle recruitment strategy to develop a skilled workforce. Ultimately, build a talent pipeline that aligns with hiring needs and business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures and housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain, monitor and enhance talent recruiting strategies, programs, tools and processes.
  • Ensure the employee experience from application through onboarding is a positive and efficient process; including the preparation of job offer letters for internal and external candidates, responsiveness to candidates and preparing new hires for their first day at Signicast.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. Partner with the HR team to oversee sourcing and hiring procedures to ensure we attract and select high-potential employees.
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates for phone screening and interview with hiring manager. Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Use data and analytics to report the effectiveness of programs and processes.
  • Prepare reports and provide analysis on human capital metrics (e.g. time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hire) to provide transparency to senior leadership the activities of the HR team.
  • Partner with local high schools and technical colleges to create pipeline for highly skilled roles through Youth Apprenticeship programs, state apprenticeships, boot camps and community involvement.
  • Engage and partner with outside staffing companies when appropriate for temporary workers, temp-to-hire, or contract workers. Prepare and manage the onboarding, reporting of hours, and other administrative activities related to the contingent staffing.
  • Perform varying administrative tasks such as management of internal employee database and all new hire paperwork, scheduling drug screens, background screens, filing, business communications and other duties.
  • Provides back-up to team members as needed, and provides HR-related support.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or related field from a four-year college or university and 1 to 4 years’ experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
