HR Coordinator - Talent Acquisition, Onboarding & HR Systems

Position Status: Full Time

Position Summary: Responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle by coordinating recruitment and hiring processes, facilitating onboarding and employee engagement initiatives, and ensuring a positive candidate and new hire experience. The position also serves as a key administrator of HR technology systems, maintaining data integrity, supporting reporting and process improvements, and leveraging technology to enhance HR operations and workforce efficiency. Additionally, the role provides administrative and compliance support to help ensure effective, organized, and mission-driven HR services across the organization.

Primary Duties

  • To be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to co-workers, clients and ministry partners
  • Actively participates on the team in a manner aligned with scripture including, but not limited to, praying for and with other team members, sharing scripture in daily activities and leadership, modeling the character of Jesus Christ in interactions with team and any external clients, partners, vendors, etc.
  • Disciples’ ministry partners and clients.
  • Aligns team dynamics, internal & external processes, and final product of team’s work with Biblical principles and with Lifeline’s Core Values

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Assists in the administration and coordination of recruitment activities, hiring processes, and employment-related procedures.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve recruitment practices, candidate experience, and hiring processes.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of recruitment, employment, and organizational policies, practices, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinates recruitment projects and provides administrative support to hiring managers related to and throughout the hiring process.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date job descriptions in collaboration with department leaders and the HR team.
  • Posts and manages job openings across multiple recruiting platforms
  • Screens incoming applicants to assess basic qualifications, interest level, and alignment with organizational culture and mission, if requested by hiring managers
  • Coordinates recruiting processes for communication, interview structure, reference checks, and hiring logistics.
  • Maintains applicant tracking systems and candidate databases to ensure accurate recruitment records and reporting.
  • Represents and promotes the organization at career fairs, recruiting events, community outreach activities, and networking opportunities.
  • Develops and executes recruitment outreach strategies to ensure job opportunities are promoted through the organization’s full network of recruiting partners, referral sources, social media, job boards, and community relationships.
  • Maintains interview and hiring records throughout the recruitment lifecycle, from application through onboarding.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Coordinates and facilitates onboarding activities for new employees, including pre-employment requirements, orientation scheduling, and onboarding communications.
  • Assists with the development, administration, and continuous improvement of new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Facilitates employee orientation sessions both in person and virtually through the Lifeline Education Platform (LEP).
  • Assists with maintaining onboarding documentation and compliance requirements associated with new hire processes.
  • Partners with hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition for new employees and a positive onboarding experience.
  • Jointly leads employee engagement initiatives, recognition efforts, and morale-building activities throughout the organization including, but not limited to, HR sponsored event such as annual Staff Summit and other regularly scheduled employee events alongside other HR department members.
  • Supports employee events, training programs, and special HR initiatives as assigned.

HR Technology & Systems Administration

  • Serves as a primary support resource for HR technology platforms, applicant tracking systems, and learning management systems.
  • Maintains employee and organizational data within HR systems, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity.
  • Assists with system updates, process improvements, testing, and implementation of new HR technology solutions.
  • Creates and maintains reports, dashboards, and analytics that support recruitment, onboarding, training, and workforce planning efforts.
  • Provides employee support related to HR technology platforms and self-service tools.
  • Maintains employee learning content for new hires, its applicable curriculum and training assignments within the Lifeline Education Platform (LEP).
  • Assists in identifying opportunities to automate HR processes and improve operational efficiency through technology solutions.
  • Supports document management, electronic workflows, and HR process standardization initiatives.

Administrative Support

  • Handles multiple administrative responsibilities with a high degree of organization, initiative, and independent judgment.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee, candidate, and organizational information.
  • Assists with HR audits, reporting requirements, compliance activities, and special projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in support of HR functions and organizational mission.

Other Duties

  • Assisting in agency-related events, including the annual staff retreat, the annual dinner, anniversary celebrations, across all Lifeline programs
  • Maintains good relationships with co-workers, including solving all disputes in a Biblically prescribed fashion
  • Represents the agency in a professional manner in and away from the office.
  • Encourages and supports church engagement efforts, including live presence opportunities, adoption information meetings, and biblical teaching on caring for vulnerable children.
  • If qualified by the state, conduct home studies, post placement/adoption reports or other related adoption services for families in your geographical area when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or member of the Executive team

All roles at Lifeline are designed to function as a flexible, team-based position. While primary responsibilities are outlined, employees may be asked to support additional programs, service areas, or initiatives based on organizational needs, workload/caseload demands, and supervisor direction. Any additional duties will be consistent with the employee’s training, licensure, role classification, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) status and will not fundamentally change the nature of the position.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least two years of experience of undergraduate education or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of experience working in HR
