Summary: Patriot Growth Insurance Services is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead and enhance our recruiting strategy within a distributed insurance brokerage. This strategic leadership role involves managing a small Talent Acquisition (TA) team, supporting crucial searches, advising senior leaders, and advancing recruiting operations. The position demands a balance between strategic oversight and hands-on execution to fulfill business-aligned HR objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and refine the enterprise Talent Acquisition strategy, operating model, and recruiting processes to support business priorities.
  • Translate hiring needs into actionable recruiting plans, including capacity, search strategies, and escalation paths.
  • Mentor and develop the TA team, ensuring quality, efficiency, and strong teamwork.
  • Directly manage complex and confidential searches.
  • Ensure consistent execution across all recruiting phases from intake to offer closure.
  • Advise business leaders on workforce needs, search strategies, and candidate selection.
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to align on hiring needs and onboarding processes.
  • Establish governance and operational standards for recruiting, especially in partnership with Producer Recruiting.
  • Oversee applicant-tracking system requirements and improvements.
  • Utilize data to enhance recruiting metrics and outcomes.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships and performance expectations.
  • Deliver a prioritized improvement roadmap for Talent Acquisition with measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Talent Acquisition or recruiting with leadership experience in insurance brokerage or similar environments.
  • Experience leading recruiting teams and operations while being effective in full-cycle recruiting.
  • Knowledge of insurance talent markets in a client-facing organization.
  • Experience in improving TA functions, processes, and infrastructure in growth-oriented environments.
  • Ability to partner with leaders and establish enterprise recruiting standards.
  • Strong skills in sourcing, talent assessment, and recruiting analytics.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and enhance hiring practices.
  • Experience with recruiting technologies and vendor management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree or certification preferred.
