Job Title
Director, Recruitment
Physical Location
The position is based on the Kent Campus and is an in-person role.
Salary
$86,249 - $102,000
Basic Function
Provides leadership and strategic management of the university's domestic recruitment operations and programs. Participates in the development of the university’s enrollment plan and oversees the implementation of student recruitment strategies. Provides oversight of student populations, including but not limited to traditional undergraduate, graduate, transfer, adult, and military-affiliated students. Provides significant management and professional support to recruitment teams within the admissions office and across the university to ensure a transformative student experience in all recruitment efforts, both on and off campus. Reports to the Assistant Vice President/Executive Director of Admissions.

Examples of Duties
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following
Work directly with the Assistant Vice President on goal setting, strategic action plans, and yield strategies, including providing advice on short-term and long-term strategic planning activities and financial and human resource allocations.
Develop and implement an annual recruitment plan for undergraduate student recruitment that is consistent with the university’s enrollment plan.
Establish department goals, objectives, and strategies; develop and implement programs and activities to accomplish goals, enhance the university's image, and attract new students.
Assess the impact and success of recruitment strategies and tactics by collecting and analyzing various types of data, and use that data to recommend and implement improvements to existing recruitment efforts.
Develop, implement, and evaluate components of the undergraduate travel and territory management plan for the Office of Admissions to support enrollment goals.
Coordinate with communications staff on the development of the annual marketing and communication plan for admissions.
Coordinate with departmental leadership to manage the CRM system used to distribute communications and admissions reports for the Office of Admissions and other academic and student support areas.
Coordinate with academic and service units in developing a recruitment plan for each area that is coordinated with the annual recruitment plan of the office.
Provide direct supervision of unclassified staff; coordinate staff activities; provide training for staff members; assign and distribute projects to meet department goals and objectives; provide continuous performance feedback; prepare performance evaluations; and establish staff development goals.
Serve on university, division, and department committees, as appropriate.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in higher education or related field. Six years of progressively responsible experience in college admissions and/or enrollment management.
License/Certification
None.
Knowledge Of
Best practices for motivating and coaching a team to meet desired goals.
Recruitment strategies that support student enrollment growth at a university.
Integrated systems and software (i.e., CRM software and MS Office Suite) *
Skill In
Verbal, written and interpersonal communication *
Analysis, problem solving and project management
Ability To
Work closely with and demonstrate sensitivity to individuals from diverse backgrounds
Provide leadership and direction
Support university and departmental goals and initiatives
Travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally

Experience leading a team of admission professionals dedicated to issues of access and equal opportunity.
Experience training, coaching, and evaluating admissions and recruitment team members.
Served in a leadership capacity within a university office with transferable skills and experiences for the required job functions.
