Job Description

Magna Mining is growing rapidly, creating an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in supporting significant hiring activity across the organization!

The Coordinator, Recruitment supports the organization’s staffing needs by coordinating recruitment activities from job posting through successful hire. Working closely with hiring managers and candidates, this role helps maintain an efficient, organized, and responsive recruitment process while delivering a positive candidate experience.

The Coordinator, Recruitment manages a high volume of recruitment activity across a variety of operational, technical, professional, and corporate positions and plays an important role in keeping recruitment priorities moving forward.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for site roles, including postings, interviews, pre-employment checks, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate the full recruitment process from job posting through candidate selection, offer, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Source, screen, and engage candidates across operational, technical, professional, and corporate positions.
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain consistent communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Prepare employment offers and coordinate approvals, reference checks, testing, and other pre-employment activities.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records, applicant tracking information, candidate pipelines, and recruitment reporting.
  • Support internal recruitment processes in accordance with company requirements and applicable collective agreements.
  • Participate in career fairs, community outreach, educational partnerships, and other talent attraction initiatives.
  • Build relationships with external recruitment partners and develop talent pipelines for current and future staffing needs.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve recruitment processes, efficiency, and the overall candidate experience.

Requirements

Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents

  • Post secondary education in human resources or a related field

Work Experience: Nature & Length

  • Experience recruiting within mining, industrial, construction, trades, or another operational environment is considered an asset.

Key Competencies: Behaviours & Skills

  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate recruitment records.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow recruitment activities through to completion.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where recruitment priorities and staffing requirements may change quickly.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment platforms is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.
