Position Summary
The Contract Recruiter supports high-volume seasonal hiring across the United States and Canada. As part of the Talent Acquisition team, this role recruits across multiple positions and locations as business needs evolve.
Each year Pursuit hires over 2,800 seasonal employees across our iconic locations in Canada, Montana, and Alaska. Recruiters will meet milestone hiring goals throughout the season. This may require conducting or facilitating up to 10 interviews per day while ensuring timely follow-up, accurate records, and a positive candidate experience.
Depending on the position, the Recruiter may make direct hiring decisions or coordinate interviews with Hiring Managers. The Recruiter must understand each role and location and clearly communicate job expectations, wages, housing, perks, and other relevant details.
What You’ll Do
- Meet milestone hiring goals throughout the season, prioritizing positions based on opening dates, staffing needs, and operational timelines.
- Screen candidates and conduct or facilitate up to 10 interviews per day during peak periods.
- Make hiring decisions for assigned roles or coordinate interviews, feedback, and next steps with Hiring Managers.
- Maintain candidate pipelines and adjust activity as hiring priorities and timelines change.
- Monitor progress, provide regular updates, and flag risks or delays before hiring milestones are affected.
- Clearly communicate job duties, wages, schedules, housing, perks, and location-specific expectations.
- Keep candidates informed throughout the recruitment, offer, and pre-employment process.
- Post and manage requisitions, offers, candidate records, and hiring activity in Workday.
- Coordinate interviews, background checks, and the transition from offer acceptance to onboarding.
- Partner with Hiring Managers, Payroll, HRIS, and the People team to keep hiring accurate and on schedule.
- Follow established recruiting and candidate-engagement processes to provide a streamlined, positive experience.
- Support additional recruiting and coordination needs during peak periods.
The Details
- Compensation: $20–$26 per hour, based on experience.
- Contract Term: October through June, with the potential to extend based on business needs and individual performance.
- Hybrid Schedule: Required in office three days per week. Located at 17th & Market in Denver, garage parking provided
Education and Experience
- One to three years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, HR coordination, or a related role.
- High-volume or seasonal recruiting experience preferred.
- Hospitality, tourism, or service-industry experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of ATS and HRIS systems; Workday experience preferred.
- Experience supporting hiring in the United States and Canada is an asset.
