About the Role

The Construction Recruiter serves as a strategic talent acquisition partner to our operations and project teams by identifying, attracting, and hiring skilled craft professionals who support industrial construction and fabrication projects throughout Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

In this role, you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle—from workforce planning and sourcing through interviewing, hiring, and onboarding—while collaborating closely with hiring managers to understand project staffing priorities and develop proactive recruiting strategies. You will play a critical role in building talent pipelines, supporting rapid project mobilization, and ensuring our projects are staffed with qualified employees when and where they are needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for hourly and salaried positions, from job requisition through sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer, placement, and onboarding.
  • Build, maintain, and proactively develop talent pipelines and candidate databases, including traveling craft professionals available for short- and long-term projects across Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
  • Manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously while meeting hiring timelines and project staffing requirements.
  • Review applications, resumes, and candidate qualifications; conduct phone, virtual, and in-person interviews to evaluate technical skills, experience, reliability, culture fit, and overall qualifications.
  • Verify required certifications and credentials, including OSHA, MSHA, AWS, NCCER, and other position-specific qualifications.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers while maintaining consistent communication throughout the hiring process to ensure exceptional candidate experience.
  • Extend employment offers, communicate pre-employment requirements, and coordinate onboarding activities, including background checks, drug screenings, employment documentation, and new hire paperwork.
  • Attend job fairs, hiring events, networking opportunities, trade association events, and community outreach activities to promote employment opportunities and strengthen candidate pipelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, EEO regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform other recruiting, talent acquisition, and human resources duties as assigned.

  • Experienced in full-cycle recruiting within construction, industrial, manufacturing, mining, or skilled trades environments.
  • Skilled at recruiting high-volume craft professionals and supporting multiple active projects.
  • Resourceful and creative in sourcing candidates through a variety of recruiting channels.
  • An excellent communicator with strong interviewing and relationship-building skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with operations and project leadership.
  • Professional, adaptable, and committed to delivering outstanding candidate experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant recruiting experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of recruiting experience, within construction, industrial, manufacturing, mining, or skilled trades environments.
  • Experience recruiting hourly craft and field personnel.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and hiring best practices.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Microsoft Office, LinkedIn Recruiter, and modern sourcing technologies.
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel to project sites and other business locations as needed.
  • Position is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment screening, which may include a background check and drug testing.
