Aquatics Recruitment & Administrative Coordinator

Hourly Pay Range: $23.92 - $35.88

Job Summary: The Aquatics Recruitment & Administrative Coordinator supports the outreach and staffing of lifeguards and park workers. This includes working on a strategy and plan for recruitment, resource development for community events and job fairs, talking with potential candidates, creating social media and website content with current employees in tandem with marketing, executing the recruitment plan, and seeing employees through the hiring process.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare and plan the outreach and staffing strategy for lifeguards, park workers, and maintenance support for the aquatics department. Work with multiple departments and partners collaboratively. Work on collateral, content, and program metrics. Review and support the Junior Lifeguard Program.
- Engage the public and interact with interested groups and individuals. Help potential candidates apply for positions and guide them through the hiring process. Attend events for engagement within various communities. Develop resources to share with the community.
- Maintain and track program goals and initiatives. Work with the Aquatics Team on programming development, needs, and training initiatives. Evaluate aspects of the staffing program for successes and opportunities. Maintain accurate records and metrics.
- Participate in special project teams, community outreach, marketing, communication efforts, and social media website updates.
- Research and explore new partnerships for the staffing pipeline and lifeguard retention. Increase equity and inclusion for staff, partners, and the community.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Current resident of Wisconsin.
- Possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, able to be maintained throughout employment.
- Possession of a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Previous experience in Recruitment, Marketing, Aquatics, Human Resources, Recreation, or a related field. In lieu of related experience, an Associate Degree will also qualify for this role.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time in this role.
- Willing and able to work irregular hours due to frequent overtime, weekend work, shift rotation, or particularly long hours.
- Willing and able to obtain First Aid and CPR with AED certification within six (6) months of start date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of an Associate Degree or higher.
