The Position

The Human Resources Intern will support the Recruiter & Retention Specialist in attracting, hiring, and keeping a strong, high-performing team. This role offers hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention surveys, and offboarding. You will gain real-world HR experience while helping Double A Solutions remain a "Best Place to Work."

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 16-20 hours per week (up to 29)

As a Human Resources Intern, you will

Recruitment

Assist with posting open positions on job boards, university career portals, and social media.
Screen applications and resumes against hiring criteria and flag qualified candidates.
Schedule interviews and serve as a friendly point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process.
Represent Double A Solutions at job fairs, university events, and recruiting sessions if scheduling allows.
Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

Retention & Employee Surveys

Help build, distribute, and track employee engagement, pulse, and satisfaction surveys.
Support initiatives in the company's Employee Retention Plan, including recognition programs and culture events.
Track retention and turnover data to help identify areas for improvement.

Onboarding

New hire onboarding documentation, such as I-9 , payroll and tax forms, and orientations.
Help coordinate the 30/60/90-day onboarding process for new hires.
Prepare new-hire paperwork, welcome materials, and first-day schedules.
Conduct 30/60/90-day check-ins and new-hire feedback surveys.
Enter and maintain new employee information in the HRIS.

Offboarding

Assist with offboarding procedures, including exit checklists and equipment returns.
Schedule exit interviews and exit surveys.

General HR Support

Maintain confidentiality of employee and candidate information at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, professional demeanor with candidates and employees.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, or able to quickly learn applicant tracking, HRIS, and survey software.
Interest in recruitment, employee experience, or a future career in Human Resources.
