We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and people-focused HR & Recruiting Assistant with a strong emphasis on recruiting to support the Human Resources department.

Recruiting will be the primary focus of this position. The HR & Recruiting Assistant will actively source candidates, review applications, maintain candidate pipelines, coordinate interview, and help move candidates through the hiring process. This position will also provide administrative support with day-to-day HR functions, onboarding, employee records, and other HR initiatives.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who enjoys working with people, is comfortable reaching out to candidates, and can manage multiple priorities at once. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in Human Recourses and Recruiting.

Responsibilities

Actively source candidates for open positions through Indeed, LinkedIn, social media, job fairs, and other recruiting sources.
Review applications and resumes and determine which candidates meet the basic qualifications.
Contact qualified candidates and communicate with them throughout the initial hiring process.
Schedule interviews with HR and the hiring managers.
Track candidates and update applicant status in ATS.
Assist with job postings and refresh postings as needed.
Help develop and maintain candidate pipelines for positions that are frequently difficult to fill.
Assist with recruiting events, job fairs, community recruiting, and other hiring initiatives.
Complete background checks, and other pre-employment requirements after candidates advance in the process.
Assist with new-hire onboarding and orientation.
Help maintain employee files and HR records.
Assist with HRIS data entry and employee documentation.
Assist with employee benefit administration.
Help with training coordination and HR projects.
Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
Assist with employee communications and HR-related initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality of employees and applicant information.
Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

1-3 years of experience in recruiting, HR, staffing, or related field preferred.
Recruiting experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with applicant tracking systems, job boards, or HRIS platforms preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Comfortable communicating with candidates, employees, managers, and applicants at all levels.
Professional and personable demeanor.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
Proficiently with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, word, and excel.
Ability to successfully complete a background check, subject to applicable laws.
