Join Our Team at Cogitic!

At Cogitic, we don't shy away from the hard stuff. We're a Colorado Springs-based engineering and precision manufacturing company specializing in complex, mission-critical components and systems for the U.S. Navy's submarine fleet. The work we do isn't easy, and that's exactly why it matters. Every component we deliver plays a role in keeping submariners safe beneath the surface.

Behind that mission is a team of talented people who take pride in solving complex problems, pushing boundaries, and getting things right. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Recruiter who can help us find the people who make it all possible.

This isn't your typical recruiting opportunity. You'll help build a team of skilled machinists, programmers, engineers, and other specialized professionals who take on challenges most people never even hear about. Working alongside our Workplace & Experience Manager and hiring leaders, you'll play a hands-on role in connecting great people with meaningful careers.

We're looking for someone who's organized, resourceful, enjoys connecting with people, and isn't afraid to get creative when finding talent. You don't need to know everything about manufacturing or submarines on day one, but you should be excited to learn.

What You'll Do

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

Support the full recruiting process, including creating and posting job advertisements, sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, conducting initial screenings, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting with employment offers.

Follow up with hiring managers to gather interview feedback, coordinate next steps, and keep the hiring process moving efficiently.
Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience through timely communication, consistent follow-up, and clear expectations throughout the recruiting process.
Partner with the Workplace & Experience Manager to prepare and coordinate employment offers and applicable pre-employment requirements.

Recruiting Strategy & Community Engagement

Collaborate with hiring managers and the Workplace & Experience Manager to develop, review, and update job descriptions and job postings that accurately represent each opportunity.

Coordinate and participate in career fairs, school outreach programs, recruiting events, and other talent acquisition activities.
Build and maintain relationships with technical schools, colleges, workforce development organizations, recruiting partners, and other external talent sources.

Recruiting Operations & Continuous Improvement

Track open positions, candidate activity, hiring progress, and recruiting metrics, providing regular updates to the Workplace & Experience Manager and hiring managers.
Support employer-branding initiatives and recruiting content that showcase Cogitic's culture, career opportunities, and mission to prospective employees.
Contribute to additional talent acquisition projects and initiatives as our company grows and our recruiting processes continue to evolve.

What We're Looking For

1–3 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or a related field is preferred.
Hands-on experience with candidate sourcing, resume review, candidate screening, interview coordination, or other aspects of the recruiting process.
Experience recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, engineering, technical, or other hard-to-fill positions is a plus, but not required.
